Hi, I’m Arianna
and this is the story behind my Greek gluten free life
I’ve always lived in between universes: psychology and writing, Italy and “elsewhere,” gluten free pasta and exotic flavors.
This website is where all those universes finally meet.
But let me start from the beginning.

Growing up with words, curiosity… and food
As my mum never fails to remind everyone, I started speaking when I was nine months old and I’ve never stopped since. I’ve loved words for as long as I can remember: reading as if there was no tomorrow, writing secret diaries and stories
– that was my playground.
The other two constants in my life have always been food (cooking it, eating it, exploring it) and, as I grew a bit older, travel. I’m the kind of person who learns a country through its kitchen and plans trips around meals. You should see my Google Maps: it’s invaded by pins for eateries!
So of course it makes perfect sense that I’d end up creating a blog about living abroad, food culture and gluten free travel. Well, this is not the first one to be honest, but I had no idea that I would do it again… nevertheless, here we are.
But how did it happen?

That time I packed my bag
and moved to New York
I was 24 years old, just out of University. I had never been to the US. I had never lived alone abroad, of course.
Yet, the attraction was so strong that I couldn’t resist: I left Italy and spent seven months in New York, for a post-graduate research internship. And I learned more about myself than any textbook could teach. That experience changed everything: it made me see the world with different eyes, opened possibilities, gave me courage and planted the seed of the life I live today. It started my passion for photography and yes, that’s also when I opened my first blog.
A life with
many careers
(turns out
it has a name)
Before Greece, before Asia, before entrepreneurship – but after New York – I started out in Italy as a private teacher and clinical psychologist for children. And I did it for six years. In the meantime, I self-published a narrative book, carried on a food blog, and because of them I took part in two different talent shows – one for writers, one for amateur chefs… but those are stories for another time.
At some point my life took a turn, as it often does when you’re guided by curiosity and multiple passions. I became a copywriter, later also a project manager, built a fully remote career, and spent most of the following years living as a digital nomad in Southeast Asia, especially Bali.

From
digital nomad
to
expat
entrepreneur
Eventually, the lifestyle of constant moving shifted into something new. Randomly, it seemed; but by now I know that everything happens for a reason.
After COVID, I slowly decided to travel closer to home and I chose Greece, my long-lasting love since high school. First it was Crete, then Rhodes where I was supposed to stay for a month or two. And here we are, almost 4 years later!
Long story short, I’m not a nomad anymore (although I continue to be digital): above all today I’m an expat entrepreneur. I run my business (a 100% gluten free café in Rhodes) with my partner – oh yes, I also found love! -, juggle projects, and build a life that feels intentionally mine – one that blends creativity, food, freedom, and a touch of Mediterranean sun.
In all this whirlwind, I realized that jumping between passions and fields wasn’t a flaw but a distinctive feature. I discovered the word for it: multipotentiality. And suddenly everything made sense.
Why this website?
Because I wanted a place where everything I am could coexist:
my love for writing
my obsession for food (gluten free, of course)
my passion for travel
my experience of living abroad
…and my desire to create something helpful, honest and real.
I built this website for people who want to explore Greece with curiosity and confidence. It’s the right place for you especially if you’re gluten free, dreaming of moving abroad, or simply fascinated by the messy-but-beautiful life of an expat.
This is not another boring guidebook.
It’s the real version: less glossy, more alive.
My mission
(AKA did we really need
another blog?)
I want to share stories, tips and experiences that can make your journey — through Greece, food, or life abroad — a little easier, a little warmer, and a lot more delicious.
If my words can help you travel safer, feel less alone, laugh at cultural mishaps, or discover your new favorite gluten free Greek dish… then this space is doing exactly what it was meant to.

Let’s explore, together
Welcome to my world: a mix of tasty gluten free pita, Aegean sunsets, entrepreneurial chaos, café life, and all the stories in between.
I’m glad you’re here.
